Assembly of TesRac

Assembly of TesRac

Assembly

Because of the high shipping cost and the large breadth of the TesRac it is not always practical to ship it fully assembled. With the 22” TesRac this is especially true. This document instructs how to complete the assembly of the TesRac when it was shipped in a partially assembled state.

The packaging for the partially assembled TesRac should Include the following:

  • (2) Front \ Back Assemblies
  • (2) Side Bottoms
  • (2) Front \ Back Bottoms
  • (1) Top Rail
  • (8) 1/4-20 Screws
  • (1) Allen Wrench

Mounting Top Rail to Front Assembly and Back Assembly

Using two screws attach the Front Assembly or Back Assembly to the Top Rail. The assemblies have no top or bottom, but this is a good time to determine and configure if you want the DIN Rails on the inside or outside of the TesRac. If the screws are tight loosen up one of the DIN Rails just a little. Also don’t tighten the screw just yet. Do this after the TesRac components are all connected.

To attach the other Front or Back Assembly to the Top Rail repeat the above.

Mounting Front Assembly and Back Assembly to Side Bottoms and Front \ Back Bottoms

(Attaching the Bottom to the TesRac)

Using two screws attach a Side Bottom and a Front Bottom or Back Bottom to the above assembly. Run the screw first through the Side Bottom then thru the Front or Back Bottom. Remember, don’t tighten the screws yet. At the other end of the same Front or Back Assembly run a second screw first through the Side Bottom then thru the Front or Back Bottom.

Repeat this on the other side of the TesRac.

Place the TesRac on a flat level surface. Loosen all DIN Rails. Square up the TesRac so the feet all are flat to the surface and TesRac does not rock. Now you can tighten the four screws on the Top Rail. Flip the TesRac over and tighten the remain four screws. Position the DIN Rails as needed.

Happy TesRac’ing,

Vince
